Ollie Baby turned one on September 20th!!! (He was sick, so we celebrated late)...
I think he looks so cute in this little outfit!
I was planning on having Sophie Lu help me bake Ollie's cake, but she insisted on baking her own... so Ollie had 2 cakes to celebrate his first birthday! Here Sophie Lu is putting the final decoration of sprinkles on her masterpiece!
Not only was Sophie excited to bake her baby brother a cake... she was extra excited to wear her super-cool Hello Kitty chef's hat which was a gift from our blogger friend Holly G & her mom (who custom makes chef's hats)! Holly's mom also made Ollie this adorable chef's hat so he can be Chef Lu's assistant some day! For now, though, Ollie just enjoys licking frosting off the spoon! Anyway, we all love the hats! Thanks again, Holly & Mom!

Almost done!
And here it is... A Happy 1st Birthday cake for the best baby brother ever!
Speaking of gifts from very special people, look at this absolutely adorable custom made bib! It was a gift from our friend Kim (mom to 3 peanuts: Will, Harry & Kate)! I've been saving it for while so Ollie could wear it on his special day! Thanks so much again, Kim- you are so sweet!
And here's Ollie with a little mousse in his hair (I love that)!
Sophie Lu's cake and Mommy's cake all ready to go (we had so much fun baking them)! The little "O" with the otter on top of my cake was a gift from Ollie's Auntie Sarah!

Party of four!
Daddy feeds Ollie his first bite of cake!
And Sophie Lu is more excited about the gifts than Ollie!
Or maybe she's extra excited because her brand new glasses help her to see everything so much clearer... either way, she enjoys playing with Ollie Baby (and his new toys)!
So Happy 1st Birthday, our sweet Oliver! We love you so much and are forever thankful to our special friends (ASG) in Guatemala for helping you make it home much in advance of your first birthday.
We also remember your birthmother today who is undoubtedly thinking of you, but who does know that you are being well cared for and very much loved. May she have peace in her heart today and always...
