We recently took Ollie to the zoo for the very first time! I tried to get a photo of Ollie and Daddy in front of the zoo sign, but I recently dropped my little camera (not my new one which is too big to take to the zoo), and many of my photos came out blurry. But, I love the above photo of Ollie & his "do"! His hair had gotten really long, so I moussed it in a semi faux-hawk- I think he looks so cute!
Like his sister, I think Ollie's favorite part was the petting zoo. He didn't smile much but was very observant and interested in the goats!
And pulling their ears!
See the giraffes? Well moments later, a naughty group of teens decided to break the rules and feed them. The giraffes were very close to the fence, so we were able to get a photo with a giraffe right in back of us!
We had such a great time- I can't wait to take Ollie Baby back to the zoo!

We were just visiting family in So Cal and went to the LA zoo. There are pictures of our kid on my blog. It was pretty nice. We met a goat named Jezebel who was quite friendly. Cute pics.

We're adopting from China and a friend led me to Sophie's site a long time ago.....I recall peaking at Ollie's site way back then and there was a very young video clip of him. Oh my goodness how time has flown. Your baby had grown into an adorable little guy! You have a beautiful family and you seem like an amazing mom... Thanks for sharing :-)
My son was also late to talk. Like Ollie he was very advanced in large motor. He could kick, throw and catch a ball before he turned one. He was just too busy to worry with language.
Once the language exploded it never stopped.
You will hear "late talkers are late readers" don`t buy it. Joey stared reading when he was three and had a reading explosion at 4. He has always been an avid reader.

We love the zoo! The petting zoo is my fovaorite too! Ollie is adorable. I love his hair. Being the Southern CA girl that I am I used to spike my boys hair up with gel. When we moved to Chicago area 9 years ago people looked at my boys funny because their hair was spiked LOL (a bit more conservative here) People referred to my boys as "the CA boys". I guess we stuck out like a sore thumb at the time LOL

He is growing so fast and is quite a handsome little boy!
