Alex is our oldest and sweetest kitty, and he has been so wonderful and gentle with Ollie (even when Ollie wanted to pull his tail or pound on him)... But now Oliver is so sweet and loving with Alex- it's really very beautiful. This last photo is my favorite- it really captures what a tender moment this was. Alex is 17 years old now, but still as young as ever. We hope he will be with us for many more years to come~

My ex-boyfriend's parents had a kitty that lived to be 22!! I've just spoken with my cat and let her know that we'd like her to hang around at least 17 years :)

Shana! I can't tell you how good it is to see Ollie again! We brought our son Jake home from Guatemala just a month after you brought Ollie home. We were disappointed when your blog went private, but are HAPPY to see him again! He is such a cutie pie!!

How adorable!! Cats are definitley my favorite 'pet' animals. We have 4, and they give as much love as they get.

What a gorgeous Maine Coon!
I had my kitties for 18 years, and they were adults when I adopted them, so the vet thought they were at least 20 years old when they passed.
When it was time for them to go, I sent DH off with the kids for a weekend of camping, so I could spend quiet time at home with the cats in their final hours, and be there to hold them as they took their last breaths.
My girls were 4 and 6 when the kitties died, and 2 years later they still miss them and cry occasionally.
I can see that Ollie is well attached already, so I wish you lots of strength when the good-bye kitty time comes.
Until then, enjoy those precious moments, and keep documenting them! We find great comfort in looking at the special cat scrapbook I made.

You know how I LOVE the kitty pictures! Ollie is soo sweet with him! And such a sweet kitty! Hopefully he'll stick around another decade or so! I hope mine live to be 30! High aspirations for my kitties, I know!

NOTHING MORE SWEETER THAN BABY KISSES AND SWEET PRECIOUS KITTIES! The pictures of Handsome Ollie is just too precious!! Judging from the pictures I think "ALEX THE CAT" forgave Ollie for all the "tail pulling/pouncing" incidents! We could learn alot from ANIMALS!!!

Ollie, is so very cute and gentle and tender with your cat. Ollie reminds me so much of a little boy that I took care of back in 1985 when I was 21 years old and in college. You are very special and lucky to have such a wonderful family. I just wish the wait was not so long to go to China. It is now 24 to 27 months long before you receive your referral. We should go sometime between May and October next year. Take care

Oh my gosh! Growing up I had a cat exactly like that! Identical! His name was Snickers. Maybe he belonged to my family in one of his earlier nine lives, and your family in a later life. Awww. He's a very lucky cat, to be loved by such a sweet boy.
